The students got an idea of Calcutta High Court, being a heritage High Court functioning from 1862, the first High Court to function in India appealable before Privy Council at a time when India was a colony of Great Britain and British Crown. Thereafter the only appellate Court above the Calcutta High Court is the Supreme Court of India.
