About the Department

JIS School of Medical Science & Research (JISMSR) is a self-financed private medical college in West Bengal, established in 2023. Since its inception, the institute has steadily progressed in both student education and patient care.

JISMSR, a constituent of JIS University, operates under the affiliation of the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Government of West Bengal. Currently, the institute offers the MBBS course, which is approved by the National Medical Commission (NMC). Plans are underway to introduce postgraduate programs in preclinical, paraclinical, and clinical disciplines in the near future.

Eligibility

• Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English individually, and must have obtained at least 50% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology. For SC/ST/OBC candidates and candidates with lower limb disabilities, the minimum is 45%.
• Candidates must have qualified NEET 2023 with a minimum of 50th percentile (40th percentile for SC/ST and 45th percentile for specified disabilities). Any revision by NMC/Govt. of India will be applicable.
• The candidate must complete 17 years of age on or before 31st December of the year of admission.
• For admission to MBBS 2023-24, candidates must apply for NEET through NTA and, upon qualification, apply through WBMCC or other authorized government agencies in West Bengal.
