NOTIFICATION

No. WB (Part-III/2015/SAR-4 dated JANUARY 21, 2015 in exercise of the power conferred under section 28 of the JIS University, West Bengal Act, 2014/15/16 (West Bengal Act No. No. 81-L. --- 2lst January of 2015) the Governing Board of the JIS University hereby causes the first statutes of the University as follows: -

STATUTORY DECLARATION UNDER RTI ACT, 2005

The Right to Information, Statutory Declaration under Right to Information Act(herein after Act), 2005 has been enacted by the Parliament and has come into force on 15 June 2005 and subsequently enforced on 05th October 2005. This Act provides access to information under the control of public authorities to promote transparency and accountability in the working of every public authority coming under the ambit of Section 2(H) of the Act.

FULL PARTICULARS OF THE PUBLIC AUTHORITY

University has the right to confer degrees as per Sections 2(f) and 22(1) of the UGC Act, 1956, and JIS University Act empowers the University to establish the main campus at Agarpara, North 24-Parganas, West Bengal, and to have study centers, campuses, off-campus centers, off-shore campuses and regional centers at different places in India and abroad as per the norms and regulations of the University Grants Commission and other relevant Regulatory Bodies;
Details of the Courses/ Programs being offered by each of the above Faculty, Departments, and Centers or any other information related to the public affairs of this University may be obtained from the official website of the University www.jisuniversity.ac.in or the functionaries designated by the University under Section 5(1) of the Right to Information Act, 2005.

Names, designations, and other particulars of the Functionaries designated by the University under the RTI Act, 2005: 
JIS University has designated Assistant Public Information Officer, Public Information Officer and Appellate Authority for performing all functions related to the RTI Act, 2005. Name, designation, and other particulars of the Authorities so designated by the University are as under:-
